It falls.

The volume on my computer is cranked up as loud as it will go. I'm not sure why I do this. Perhaps to drown out thoughts, or noise, maybe it's just because I like my music loud.

Yesterday I went to my best friend's youth group, which I adore. We went up into her mom's office and decorated her computer with post it notes. Each note had a random fact about me on it. She's practically my second mother, so she found it very amusing and 'cute'.

You know who I think is just made of awesome? Natalie Portman. She's such a good actress. I recently rewatched V for Vendetta and was once again, dazzled. I've only seen it twice, but I know that I'll see it many more times. You see, normally I either really like something or really don't like it. It works that way with people, too. Love or hate. Anyways, I have many things that I just love to death and many things that I cannot stand.

I love waking up to music. It gets my blood pumping and my eyes open.

I cannot stand going to sleep to music. I'm sorry. I wish I could learn to love it, but I just can't. Unless I'm really tired, I can't fall asleep with any noise or too much light. Yes, I know, I'm

Random conversation of the day-
Me-Have you every noticed...that our teacher looks like an elf, a very angry elf?
Boy in my class-Um, no, but he so does! He looks like the elf leader!
Me-Ha ha? Leader?
Boy in my class-Yeah, because the leader elf is always super mean!

Random thought of the day-
My sister, Melissa, bought a tie die shirt today. I'll be borrowing it soon.

Summer Girls.

Today I had to suffer through state testing. If you don't know what that is, consider yourself outrageously lucky. It sucks. They group you in a room with about twenty other people in alphabetical order. I had a bottle cap thrown at my head. Really, I don't know why that upsets me so much. The guys who threw it were aiming for the kid behind me. Anyways, after sitting in a room with that many people for five hours, things get antsy. Also, my friend, who is a senior, told me that he thought I looked like a freshman. Yes, I'm only a sophomore, but it's almost junior year, shouldn't I look like an almost-adult already? Oh well, maybe this means I'll age slower or something.

Slowly, but surely, I am becoming addicted to two sites-Pandora and Deviantart. Maybe it's because they're both similarly made of awesome? Or perhaps it's because they both enable me to look at free photography and listen to free music, especially picked for my liking? Intrigued yet?

In my Theater class we're rehearsing Othello. I get to be Desdemona, meaning, I get to be strangled. This is quite a change. In the last scene I did from Veronica's Room, I got to be the crazed strangler. I'm not used to playing the innocent damsel in distress.

Summer is so close, it's almost tangible! I can't wait! I think I might just be turning into a Summer Girl. For so long I've been a huge fan of the cold. I practically live for warm soup and scarves, but lately, I've been itching to get to the beach and put on a pair of shorts.

Random conversation of the day-
Mother-Katy, don't touch your face or hair. I don't want you getting the swine flu. Now is not the time to get over your phobia of touching people!

Random thought of the day-
My friend threw a confetti egg at my head today. It was great.

Music and Spelling.

You know, as a kid I had the hardest time spelling the word Wednesday? Call me challenged. I've been having the weirdest dreams. For example, on Monday night I fell asleep reallllyyyy early. I'm talking seven, people. As I slept I had a dream that I stole hundreds of dollars from the poor then proceeded to lie about it, telling everyone I really gave the money back to the homeless. When I awoke the next morning I felt utterly confused. For a few minutes I actually thought I'd stolen the money. I felt extremely guilty until I realised I was being an idiot because it was all a crazy dream. I guess that's what I get for letting my imagination run wild!

Lately I've been listening to a lot of Meg & Dia. If you don't know who I'm talking about then go look them up...NOW! I mean it. Anyways, they're coming here this summer for the Vans Warped Tour. I'm bringing my sister and hopefully my best friend with me this year. It should be an educational experience for Melissa, she only listens to a few genres. My goal is to broaden her musical horizon, ha ha.

I have to admit that finding out we are in the last six weeks of school threw me for a loop. For one thing, this year is soooo much better than last year. Let's just say that I had my reasons for having a shitty year. I feel like this year has been a year of significant growth. You could say I opened my eyes to the world. I've been reading as much as I can and writing like a crazy person. Plus, I switched out of my dreadful choir class. Don't get me wrong, choir kids are just awesome. Some of my best friends are in choir, it's sort of a 'cool' thing to do at my school. Anyways, I was a member of choir for a good four and a half years. Really, I should have dropped out on my first day. I CAN'T SING. AT ALL. Now I'm in theater. It's ten times better. I learn a lot more and find myself enjoying the class. In fact, I liked it so much I was moved into the JV class.

So, like I was saying, I'm excited to be a junior and all, but I just don't feel like I'm old enough to be one. Sure, I'm tall enough the be one-five four, but that doesn't really count. My older sister will be going away to college. I'll be driving and working. It'll be a whole new world and I've never been one known for liking change. In fact, it's safe to say I fervently hate it. We'll just have to see how the year maps out, won't we?

Well, I'm off to go buy some fried rice and drink a can of Coke!

Random conversation of the day-
Melissa-Have you ever snuck out of the house?
Me-Shut up.
Melissa-No, really, Katy! Have you ever snuck out your window and jumped over the air conditioning vent & hopped over the gate?
Me-Why would I hop over the gate?
Melissa-Because you can't walk through it!
Me-Um, I would try opening the gate next time. Idiot.

Random thought of the day-Today I painted my nails red in the middle of class. I am a model student, aren't I?

Hello World.

So, I used to be a livejournal girl, but I've decided to switch as of today. :]

I suppose I'll tell you a little bit about myself now. My name is Katy. I'm sixteen and from the the south. My YouTube account is-

I like many things. This includes reading, writing, watching movies, discovering great music, going to new places, meeting new people, and trying new things. I'm an extremely random person. Seriously, thoughts come and go faster than Olympic runners. Anything vintage fascinates me. I have three sisters. One is older, two are younger. I drink Coke like water, it's ridiculous, but in a wonderful way. I'm completely unorganized and sadly, a poor speller, sorry.

Currently, I spend at least eight hours every weekday stuck in high school. Yes, stuck indeed, because the majority of my classes are easy as pie. The only things that keep me awake are Theater, English, and my friends.

Okay, now that the introduction is out of the way, I'll tell you about what's happening in my life.

Today, my weekend plans fell through. This makes me unhappy because I like to have my weekends mapped out before the actual weekend comes. Really, my plans are some of the only things I'm actually organized with. You should see my school locker. It's practically overflowing with empty Coke bottles. I can explain! Really, I can. You see, I don't like throwing away empty bottles. Go green. My school threw away all of it's plastic recycling bins, so I'm forced to hoard up all of my plastic inside my locker. Gradually, I take a few bottles home and throw them in the bin in my kitchen.

Random Conversation of the day-
Me-"What would you do if I threw all of your homework on the floor?"
Friend-"Smack you in the face. Actually, I knew you were going to ask me that."
Me-"Have I gotten that predictable?"

Random thought of the day-My cousin had a baby yesterday. Whoo hoo! Go second cousins!
